Fruit Kingdom - Fukushima City
Fukushima City in Fukushima Prefecture extends from the foot of Mt. Azuma, home to the legendary “Snow Rabbit.” Known as the foremost production center for peaches in Japan, the city also boasts a rich harvest of other seasonal fruit, such as apples and pears. Its famed Hanami-yama Hill, once admired by the late Shotaro Akiyama (a celebrated photographer) as the “Earthly Paradise,” comes alive with numerous visitors who come to appreciate seasonal flowers and blossoms.
