As part of our social contribution activities, we engage in cleaning and tree planting in areas around our sites in a wish to conserve the lush natural environment. We also cooperate in a blood drive that takes place in July every year. Furthermore, each one of our sites is equipped with an automated external defibrillator (AED).
As a co-sponsor, our company participated in the campaign known as “The Toshiba Group Creation of 1.5 Million-Tree Forest” by planting 450 Japanese beech saplings at the site of the former Kawaguchi Town Sports Park Family Golf Course in Niigata Prefecture. Our employees voluntarily participate in an annual program to clean up the environment around the Fukushima-nishi Industrial Complex where the Fukushima Works is located. Neighborhood cleanups are also carried out by employees at the Niigata and Kawasaki facilities.
Our blood drive activity is carried out every July, the month of the nationwide "Blood Donation for Brotherhood" campaign. Shown here is an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) unit --- these have been installed at our sites in Fukushima and Niigata. Employees have been taught to operate the apparatus by local firehouse staff.
